6. Don’t Diet!
Counting pounds and calories really doesn’t make sense for a couple of reasons: it vastly reduces the quality and enjoyment of food if you’re thinking about the amount of calories you’re about to digest (and if you’re portioning right, it shouldn’t matter anyway!), it also promotes stress. Calorie counting will cause a rise of worry that you might be consuming too many, ultimately reducing the pleasure you take from food, and feeling bad about your body and your health.
