7. Compensate, don’t cut.
Crash dieting destroys metabolism and the body will notice the lack of food intake and will begin to burn calories much slower in order to conserve energy, possibly causing weight-gain. Instead of cutting, compensate. Try carefully indulging and cut back on certain foods for a few days to a week. This doesn’t mean that you have to cut out indulgences altogether, just eat a little lighter and choose a method that is healthier for the body.
